I’ve been in the field since 2013, and I’ve worked on a wide variety of websites where I fixed weird bugs, designed fun new layouts, created illustrations, and even built customizable themes. It’s the science of design, the art of code, and the opportunity for experimentation that keeps me engaged. I am fired up and ready to learn! In every new project there is something new to try, and in every old project is a chance to improve.
I am always driven to design and improve systems for the people that use them. Currently, I am interested in learning AWS cloud techniques, and best practices for UX and accessibility. So digging into books, articles, projects, and certifications is how I spend a lot of my time. In the future, I aim to expand my studies to React, AngularJS, Python, and scrum management.

Hobbies
- Collecting houseplants
- I have around 20 planters with 40 plant species. I think of my garden as my green oasis! My current favorite is a raven ZZ plant, but I am also partial to the oncidium ‘Sharry Baby’.
- Taking classes and certifications
- This is my current priority project. The more the merrier!
- Watching shows and movies from the Marvel Cinematic Universe
- Although I also appreciate small independent films. Going low-budget forces more ingenuity and creative choices. I especially love it when they use silly practical effects and paper mache props.
- Drawing and doodling
- I was an art nerd back in college, but nowadays I mostly just doodle. I also enjoy creating custom illustrations and icons for projects.
- Visiting museums
- My favorite spot for a date with my husband of 6 years.
